Is the lightning rod off of my house.... Yes that is our roof you are looking at. Some time ago, Frank, my dear sweet husband, became obsessed with HD tv channels. It all started becase Comcast didn't carry 1, maybe 2 of the MSU basketball games. We switched to Direct TV and then the competition was on. Frank might probably be the most easy going guy I know, so it came to quite my surprise when he went out and bought a new High Def. Tv for our house and became completely enthralled with the idea of getting as many channels as possible in HD. This is really strange for someone who watches maybe 2 hrs. of tv a week! He decided that he could get more channels on his own if he rigged up this antenna (sp?)/ lightning rod on the top of our house. He climbed up on the roof daily, cell phone in one hand, and lightning rod in the other; would walk around on the roof calling me (who was inside) and say ' does this channel work now? what about that channel? And of course the channels always happened to have to be checked while I am trying to give our brand new Mary Elliott a bottle. So yes, I am on the couch, newborn in my arms, bottle in one hand, speaker phone on the sofa, remote in my 3rd hand that he thought magically appeared, trying to change channels. Again, I am not exaggerating. Ya-Ya can be my witness. Well, many many trips on the roof, many phone calls to Direct TV, and finally getting someone from Best Buy to come drill holes in our house so that a wire can run directly from our roof to our den..... Frank now has his High Def channels and the lightning rod serves no purpose.
Santa, please hurry..........
