Ok, this may sound absurd to some of you, but for anyone reading who has children I think you will agree. The #1 requirement for all toys sold should be that they have an on/off switch and a volume switch! I am at my witts end with toys that play the same music at notes that dogs can tune into over and over and over again. I am including a pic of my inspiration toy. It was a $12.99 purchase at TJ Maxx when Allie was maybe 3 mo. old. Note to self: no 3 mo. old needs a toy this size. Anyway, the more mobile and active she got the more I noticed that this dumb toy would NOT shut off or up! She LOVED it. Of all the toys she has in this house, why would she choose this one. Then I started thinking, who makes these things anyway. The toy maker man obviously had NO kids when he invented this thing. Who makes up the 'Mr.' songs? Because I have a 'Mr. You don't have kids and shouldn't be inventing toys.' song ready to go.
Why I can't just throw the thing away I do not know.... I have some sort of guilt feeling because she has always liked it. So instead of chunking it, I chose to hide it. Not the right choice either.... my child is not a digger or searcher, some of her friends however are. They will just walk into the den smiling carying this toy. Process starts all over again.......

that's hilarious! i feel your pain. i think it's budweiser that makes up the "mr." songs. maybe you should stock up on some to make the toy more tolerable. better yet, maybe it would give you the guts to toss it! :)
I love the Budweiser songs! Now, that would be one awesome toy. Sorry for your most recent annoyance. Perhaps a hate email is in store for this manufacturer?...
I totally agree 100%!! When my mom came to stay when Ben was born, she thought it was sad that none of Will's toys "worked" - I told her we waited a long time for them to stop working!!
