Standing Ovation to Single Moms...

I give a big HOORAY to all you single moms out there. I do not know how you do it. Especially those of you with multiple children. Frank is out of town tonight. Yes, just one teeny tiny night and I'm already at my witts end. And I have well behaved children on top of that. Frank might be one of the sweetest husbands and dads ever. He's always willing to lend both hands to help a mother out. So when he's gone I quickly hop into doubletime mode; feeding, dressing, cleaning up, cleaning up spit up, cooking, cleaning up again, dressing again, laundry, cleaning up spit up again, cooking again, feeding, bathing, jamming up, brushing teeth, rocking (yes, rocking... if you put the child down awake enough to squirm... yep, you guessed it, more spit up and changing of the sheets) going back to LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN MOMMY, and oh yes, cleaning up the small tornado of toys that so rapidly destroyed my house; all by myself.
Remember that cartoon, Go Go Gadget? I'm convinced now more than ever that the writer of that show was a mom. How nice to have some extra arms with a bottle attached so when your 2 yr. old is throwing a fit for you to stay in the bathroom to 'watch me poopy' you can soothe the baby with the bottle they were due an hour ago.
So, here's to you single moms everywhere, my hat is always off!

I totally agree! I don't know how you single moms do it! I feel the same way ginger. I guess since our children are around the same age we have the same "routine" (if that is possible with two) I hate it when Ryan has to go out of town! He usually has to go out of town at least once a month...it happens to be that he is leaving in the morning! BOO! I think that we are spoiled by having such Wonderful husbands that do all they can to help! Good luck!
