Edward and Bella

Not to be confused with the original Edward and Bella (if you're not sure who that is then you've probably been under a rock for the last 2 years) But this is Edward and Bella the ducks.


They belong to our neighbors and my children and I have fallen in love with them. We have held them every day, kissed them, been pooped on by them and even rescued them from the back of a van... long story, i digress... so, needless to say we liked the ducks.


However, we knew that the ducks could not stay in a back yard forever, so we made plans with the Browns to take Edward and Bella to a pond at our friends the Thompsons house. Parker screamed and cried, Mika's heart was broken, Allie was very afraid that Edwards feelings were being hurt by the bigger duck in the pond and I'm pretty sure that Misty Thompson thought we had all lost our minds out there saying goodbye to two animals like they were children.
But we did......

The kids had fun showing E&B their new home...






Of course we made ourselves at home too...

We picked some flowers


And came really close to falling in the pond.


And while we did get two good visits in.... I hate to report that the circle of life came for Edward. Bella is still quacking along, or at least Misty and Jim are telling us that. I think we might have frightened them with how hard we took the news so they just might be sparing our feelings.
