We've been trying to eat healthier, organic food lately. Now I'm not gonna be one of those tree hugger wierd people... but I do think that alot of benefits can come from eating certain things organic. We made the milk, chicken, eggs jump a while back. If you are doubting making that jump then google the risks your children will have from not making that jump. It involevs your little girls having size 12 feet and your little boys having manboobs. Yes I just said manboobs.
Anyway.... we recently starting going out to Will Reeds farm and getting fresh vegetables and my new favorite place in this town now is the Farmers Market. But my favortie thing of all were these peas. Probably because I saw myself in my children as we were shelling them:)
pause.
I had one of those 'someone please stop life' moments with my girls... and it was all over shelling peas! I used to sit for hours and do this with my mom and our maid Daisy. This brought back the sweetest memories teaching them how to do it!
(and then 2 hornets that were mating landed on my forehead and stung me. i kid you not...)
We also had fresh basil and made some pesto, fresh turnips... that were surprisingly good and my whole family ate! and fresh romaine. That isn't a good picture but it was really pretty!
